Prime Minister of UMNO?

Will someone tell if this Najib is the Prime Minister of UMNO, of the Malays or of Malaysia. I did not mention the Chinese, the Indians and the Others because by default and by his actions he has certainly made these people reject him as their Prime Minister. So that leaves the Malays and Malaysia because he certainly is Prime Minister of UMNO. Now because Malaysia is made up of not only Malays but also the others then again by default he cannot be Prime Minister for Malaysia. So that leaves the Malays. 

The jury is still out and deliberating this issue. Yes there are only Malays in UMNO. But are the interest of UMNO and the Malays the same? The Malays are Muslims. And so, it seems are the profess religion of those in UMNO. Tapi cakap bukan serupa bikin. Islam frowns on greed, corruption, and deceit. UMNO does not. 

The Malays are polite, soft spoken and do not, I repeat do not, tolerate arrogance and lack of respect for elders and for those that live amongst them. The leaders of UMNO are arrogant to a fault. They strut around like peacocks and yet bury their head in the sand like ostriches unwilling and unable to understand that the Malays are the reason they are in power for the last fifty years. Instead they let it be known to anybody who would listen that it is because of UMNO that the Malays are what they are today. 

And what are the Malays today? Are they more successful then the Chinese? No! Are their children better educated that the thousands of others that have chosen or are driven to go overseas to further their studies? No. Are the Malays positioned to take on the Chinese economically? No – not even with the Bumiputra privileges, not with the NEP not even with our so-called control of all the major economic instruments required for our success in commerce. This is because of the abuse and manipulations by UMNO of all these advantages that was to be for the Malays but instead hijacked by UMNO for its own. 

So if UMNO insists that the Malays are what they are to day because of UMNO – yes I agree. 

UMNO has cause the Malays to be a poor second to the Chinese and the others. 

So I say that Najib is not Prime Minister for the Malays. He certainly is Prime Minister for UMNO. He justifies the need and use of the ISA to imprison any opposition politicians that he perceives is a threat to UMNO. Not to the country but to UMNO! 

He presides over a PDRM that murders suspects in custody in the name of solving crimes to make the UMNO government seem tough on Law and Order. 

He justifies the taking of our resources by UMNO stalwarts in the name of the Malays and then overlooks the keeping of these resources by UMNO for their own personal account. An act only a Prime Minister for UMNO will condone. 

This Najib also talks about taking the high moral ground for all Malaysian and yet as Prime Minister of UMNO picks a convicted corrupt Isa Samad to be their flag carrier in a by-election this week in Bagan Pinang. 

So I say again. Najib is Prime Minister for UMNO. Not for the Malays, not for the Chinese nor the Indians. Not for anybody else in Malaysia. He is only Prime Minister for UMNO. 

For us Malays that are not in UMNO I can say with confidence that we will survive. We have survived for most of the past two decades of Mahathir’s regime without much assist from the UMNO government while he helps those preferred UMNO Malays and his cronies to the richness of our country. We do not expect this to change under Najib. We will wait for a Prime Minster to come that will be for Malaysia. For all of us. That day will come soon.

 

 

THE ISA NAJIB CONNECTION

I have said before that I am reluctant to go into a situation where the family of a person that I am writing about is affected by the things I write about them – for I believe that it is the wife or husband and the children of the man or women  that is hurt most by his or hers indiscretions. In this situation I have thought long and hard about the information I have at hand about Isa and I had hope that common sense and the possibility of his indiscretion being put into the public domain would have prevented him from running in Bagan Pinang. After all he does not need the money. What we overlooked was the fact that a man with plenty of money in UMNO will also crave for power –for what that power would do for him. What is best for the Rakyat is never a consideration.

And so he decides that he will take the chance of exposure for the possibility of gaining a foothold in the wheeling and dealing of UMNO’s sordid world.  The decision is his to make. I do not doubt for a moment that if the tables were turned and he had incriminating evidence against the PAS candidate – he would have made it public in heartbeat. But he has not.

What has happened with Isa is that like Najib many years ago – he covets the wife of another man.  Najib did some horse trading with the then husband of Rosmah and for a very tidy sum – the matter was settled. A win win situation as they say in business. Najib gets his girl, Rosmah gets her man and Rosmah’s then husband gets his just desserts. Happy ending all around (as they say in Thailand).

With Isa the ‘negotiations’ have stalled –possibly the sum being requested is substantial enough (even for an UMNO ex MB!) to have made him have second thoughts for his lady love…or maybe the amount indicated by the aggrieved husband has cool his ardour. That would be only for Isa and the parties concerned to know. Suffice to say for now that the demands of a by election in Bagan Pinang requires his undivided attention.

The questions that needs to be asked is this.

Why must Isa even think of taking somebody’s else wife away from her husband away from her four chidren?

As the former head of UMNO in Negri Sembilan should he not abuse the trust her husband had placed in his wife to do her duties as in UMNO under Isa? Are husbands of wives working in Putri UMNO, Wanita UMNO  - or for UMNO in whatever capacity - to be fearful of what will now happen as their wife are away from home doing ‘work’ for UMNO because UMNO leaders will consider them ‘fair game’ for their advances.

If the lady in question had agreed to ‘be one’ with Isa – should not Isa be the one to have enough sense to do the right thing? And the right thing is NOT to be the cause of a breakup of a family with four children?

And like in all things UMNO – again the question of how much money will it take to settle the matter to the satisfaction of all parties concern comes into play! I am  not privy to what has been discussed between the parties involved but suffice to say that while Isa wants to ‘be one’ with the lady in question and she with him – and while the husband must be muttering ‘good riddance’ under his breath – the sordid question of how much money will it take to settle this matter takes precedence  over everything – over good taste, over common sense and over what is the right thing to do.

This my friends is how an ex MB, ex Vice President of UMNO see how things should be ‘settled’ – or to borrow a term from PDRM how to ‘selesai’ a problem.

After his conviction for money politics – which to Najib is just a technicality – this latest episode in Isa’s life is simply a manifestation of an individual that sees money as the be all and end all of all things.

And UMNO will have him represent them in Bagan Pinang? 

And Mahyuddin tells us that he is the peoples choice – They told me so three times !! - and that UMNO will defer to what the people want.

And that Najib tells our people overseas that Isa’s conviction is just a technicality?   

Are UMNO leaders now prepared to go in to bat for Isa and continue regardless in Bagan Pinang or will UMNO invoke it’s riot act and (horrors of horrors!) consider discretion the better part of valour and suggest to Isa that he should withdraw from Bagan Pinang. We await with much interest the outcome between wanting to win at all costts (an ‘UMNO’ thing..) and the need to adhere to what Najib has describe what “an Islamic party” should do (a ‘religious’ thing).

Try this Najib. As President of UMNO and our Prime Minister YOU make the decision that this is wrong. Wrong for our country. For Bagan Pinang. YOU make the decision to do the right thing. Do what Pak Lah did many years ago when shortly after his Magrib prayers he called Isa in his Nilai Spring home to tell him that despite his appeal his conviction stayed – but that his suspension has been reduced from six to three years.

You will have to call Isa yourself and ask Isa to step down as UMNO’s candidate…and then maybe, just maybe you will be able to look at the people of our country in the eye and tell them “I did what I had to do for you”. Methinks this is an impossibility.

Possibly the only saving grace for Isa is that the parties involve are all UMNO – maybe, just maybe they would put party before self (if the price is right!). As for Najib it is obvious that he must have told Isa  “Do not do as I do. Do as I say”. This Isa must have not been listening….

P.S. I am reluctant to have details of the lady and her Family involved in this matter displayed for public consumption. The people in Negri Sembilan knows who they are. UMNO knows who they are. Najib knows who there are. I know who there are. Let us leave it at that for now. This lady, also known as “the "moving encyclopaedia" of UMNo matters have had a long association with UMNO – from her childhood days. Let us hope that common sense will prevail – if not for UMNO then for her family.

like to describe myself as being cool under fire. Nothing much can rattle me and I would rather walk away from an argument then try to bring someone to my point of view. Not because I am not convince that my point of view is correct but because I believe that each and every one of us are entitled to their point of view. I chose to live in Australia because I would rather let my brothers keep what they have taken of my late Father’s estate then to go head to head with them in court to take what is rightfully my part of my late Father’s estate – though I did try to persuade them to let me have my share – but I digress.

This morning I was angry. Angry enough to shut down my PC and leave my work on ‘steadyaku47’ until my mind was more settled. Sat down with my Lucy and talked. I talked and she listened. I told her that I did not want to give too much details about the lady that Isa was involved with because there are common bonds of decency that I want to observe. I told her that even if UMNO will use gutter politics to win at any costs – there must be limits to what I do. Lucy listened…and then asked me what did I write a few days back? About giving notice to UMNO that I now have my gloves off? That it is now a free for all?

That made me think. I have to walk the talk. I have not much stomach for it but it must be done. And that false email supposedly from ‘Suci dalam Debu’ was the straw that broke the camels back! I only have this to say to whoever that did that. When you want to call somebody’s bluff remember you must have him by the balls – because when you have a man by his balls his heart and mind will follow. You my friend do not have me by my balls!

ISA SAMAD and what he thinks money can do!

This is the lady that ISA SAMAD has been trying to ‘buy’ from her husband so that he could take her from her family and her four children to be with him in his Istana at Nilai that was built for him by one of the three towkays now financing the Bagan Pinang election expenses on behalf of Isa Samad and UMNO. This corrupt Isa is not content with taking money from the coffers of Negri Sembilan, not content with dishing out money during UMNO elections – NOW he wants to wreck a Family of four – by abusing the trust a husband had in Isa and allowing his wife to to do ‘work’ for UMNO Rembau.

Najib you talk of UMNO being an Islamic Party – is this UMNO’s interpretation of an Islamic Party? You condone corruption, you encourage greed and now you allow this Isa Samad, your candidate for Bagan Pinang, to wreck a Malay Family? Cukuplah UMNO. Cukuplah Najib. Cukuplah Isa. Damm. Damm. Damm them!

Having been the organisation's secretary for the past five years, Bibi Sharliza is tagged as the "moving encyclopaedia" -- the expert who is sought for all clarifications regarding Puteri.


Bibi Sharliza, a businesswoman, had been interested in politics since the age of 12, partly influenced by her uncle and grandfather.


"Back then, Umno members would come over to my grandfather's house to sembang-sembang politik (talk politics). As a young girl, I was fascinated by their discussions.


"So when I got older, I was very eager to register as a member.


"Having been among the pioneer leaders of Puteri Umno, I view this as my opportunity to serve the party. What more can I ask for?" said Bibi Sharliza, who has four children aged 2 to 11.

The 36-year-old former Paroi assemblyman is passionate about her early days, first as Negri Sembilan Puteri Umno head and then as the movement's secretary.

"Our early days are very clear to me, all the struggle and hard work. Puteri Umno has come a long way since then, but I feel more should be done especially in view of the March 8 general election results.

"If the delegates give me a chance to lead the movement, my aim is to work our way up and ensure that Puteri Umno members are taken more seriously.

"We must be vocal and play a more prominent role in politics."

Abdul Azeez bohong dakwa dipukul penyokong PAS - Salahuddin

PORT DICKSON: PAS mendakwa Ahli Majlis Tertinggi (MT) Umno, Datuk Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim berbohong berhubung isu beliau dipukul oleh sembilan lelaki yang dipercayai penyokong PAS.

Malah Naib Presidennya, Salahuddin Ayub juga mendakwa Abdul Azeez sengaja mencetuskan provokasi dan mencari publisiti murahan.

"Beliau telah berbohong, beliau bercakap bohong dan beliaulah yang merupakan tokoh provokasi.

"Boleh saya katakan di samping pembohong, beliau juga merupakan pencari publisiti murahan... beliau sebenarnya tidak dipukul.

"Beliau sengaja lalu di kawasan yang telah diwartakan oleh SPR (Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya) dan polis sebagai kawasan untuk penyokong Pakatan Rakyat... saya percaya beliau lakukan dengan niat," katanya dalam sidang media di Markaz Induk PAS di sini hari ini.

Salahuddin berkata demikian bagi mengulas mengenai insiden melibatkan Abdul Azeez yang mendakwa dipukul oleh penyokong PAS.

Menurut Abdul Azeez, beliau telah diserang oleh kira-kira sembilan orang lelaki yang memakai pakaian yang mempunyai logo PAS.

Jelas Salahuddin, beliau sempat bertemu dengan Abdul Azeez semalam di tempat penamaan calon pilihan raya kecil Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Bagan Pinang di dewan Majlis Perbandaran Port Dickson dan menurutnya, beliau tidak nampak sebarang kesan lebam hasil daripada tumbukan seperti yang didakwa.

"Semalam beliau datang berjumpa dengan saya, saya melihat dengan mata kepala saya sendiri, mendengar dengan telinga saya sendiri bahawa beliau mengatakan telah dipukul oleh sembilan orang pemuda PAS.

"Awak boleh bayangkan kalau sembilan orang yang pukul, tentu ada kesan-kesan tumbukan... lebam.

"Malah hari ini saya telah meneliti gambar berwarna di akhbar, saya gunakan mikroskop yang agak canggih, saya tak nampak pun sebarang kesan di leher, tak nampak pun kesan lebam," katanya.

Ditanya sama ada PAS akan membuat laporan polis untuk menyangkal dakwaan Abdul Azeez itu, Salahuddin berkata: "Saya tak nak layan pembohong ini, saya ada banyak kerja lain nak dibuat... biarlah beliau mencari publisiti dalam beberapa hari ini," katanya.

Pemuda Umno Boikot Bagan Pinang ?

Awal-awal lagi Ketua Pemuda Umno, Khairy Jamaludin tidak bersetuju dengan pencalonan Tan Sri Isa Samad sebagai calon Umno. Berbeza dengan Tun Dr. Mahathir yang akhirnya 'bersetuju' Isa sebagai calon.Tetapi Khairy nampaknya terus berpatah arang berkerat rotan apabila kelibatnya tidak kelihatan di Bagan Pinang pada penamaan calon hari

Walhal Bagan Pinang dan Rembau bukanlah jauh mana. Boleh jadi juga Khairy sibuk dengan menghadiri majlis rumah rumah terbuka.

Berbeza dalam pilihanraya kecil sebelum ini, Khairy dengan lagak juara sering menjadi jurucakap Umno.

Apa maknanya tu? Maknanya jelas Isa bukan sahaja berhadapan dengan Pas dan Pakatan Rakyat di Bagan Pinang tetapi berhadapan dengan protes dan bantahan pemuda Umno yang diketuai oleh Khairy.

Mungkin Khairy akan hadir selepas ini tapi bagi saya hanya sebagai memenuhi syarat dan mencukupkan korum je...Tak lebih dari itu

Kes Tumbuk-Polis Belum Siasat,Muhyiddin Sudah Tuduh PAS

SUDAH pun diduga, Umno pastinya akan menimbulkan berbagai cerita karut dan lawak bodoh mereka apabila menjelang sesuatu pilihanraya. Tidak cukup dengan media `pencacai' seperti TV dan akhbar, lebih malang lagi seorang yang dikatakan cerdik berjawatan TPM pun terikut menjadi `pencacai' murahan. Tidak menghairankan ini semua berlaku kerana Umno khususnya begitu terhina, malu dan tertekan setelah 7 pilihanraya kecil di Semenanjung selepas Pilihanraya Umum Ke 12, kesemuanya Umno `terlangkang' serta `terlondeh kain'.

Cuba sebut mana satukah kawasan yang diadakan pilihanraya kecil yang Umno tidak pernah membuat tuduhan karut dan bodoh terhadap pembangkang? Apa yang berlaku di Bagan Pinang semalam yang menyaksikan peristiwa kononnya Ketua Putera Umno ditumbuk oleh seramai 9 orang benar-benar menambahkan lagi keyakinan kita bahawa Umno sememangnya tidak pernah dan tidak akan berubah. Tentunya kita dapat membayangkan betapa hancur, parah dan berkecainya muka dan tubuh badan Ketua Putera Umno tersebut jika benar ianya ditumbuk oleh seramai 9 orang. Tapi bila melihat wajahnya muncul dikaca TV, hendak ketawa pun ada, hendak muntah pun ada. Mungkin kulit wajah yang berwarna hitam itu adalah kesan lebam dari tumbukan 9 orang seperti yang diperkatakannya. Semenjak bila pula Ketua Putera Umno itu putih?

Persoalannya, sudahkah pihak Polis menyiasat? Jika siasatan belum dibuat, mengapa TPM Muhyiddin tidak sabar-sabar hendak menyebut bahawa penyokong PAS sememangnya ganas dan tidak melambangkan parti Islam. Sedap mulut beliau bercakap begitu. Tumbuk orang saja, bukan cara Islam. Bagaimana pula dengan meletupkan tubuh badan orang? Jika penyokong PAS memang benar melakukan perbuatan tersebut, mengapa Muhyiddin tuding jari pada Mursyidul Am Pas pula? Semua orang tahu bahawa Mursyidul Am Pas sememangnya anti keganasan dan mulutnya tidak pernah berhenti menyeru manusia berbaik-baik dan berdakwah secara berhemah. Sebagai contoh, kisah Ketua Pemuda Umno yang ditangkap terlibat dengan dadah seperti yang berlaku di Terengganu baru-baru ini bolehkah kita menuduh Najib atau Muhyiddin mengajar Ketua Pemuda Umno berbuat demikian?

Bukan sedikit ahli-ahli Umno bahkan pemimpin mereka yang terlibat di dalam berbagai kes yang lebih besar dari kes tumbuk. Umno kah yang mengajar itu semua? Seandainya, jika ada mana-mana anggota atau pemimpin Umno yang terlibat dengan kes bunuh atau meletupkan orang, adakah ini kerja yang diajar oleh parti Umno?
